Thermo-conductive platform for 35, 60, 100, or 150mm Corning® culture dishes (#BCS-311)
CoolSink HCD thermo-conductive culture dish platform is designed to stabilize and equalize the temperature of Corning culture dishes. The module features recesses to accept the ring stand-off on the underside of the dishes, enabling maximal thermal contact between the CoolSink top surface and the underside of the dish.
For tissue processing, the CoolSink HCD series allows tissue samples to be processed in a sterile culture dish while the dish is stabilized and at the desired temperature in a biosafety cabinet. When tissues are dissociated, as in the case of stem cell isolation, or “cancer stem cell” isolation, or for FACS analysis, they require a combination of mechanical and enzymatic treatments to digest to single cells. The CoolSink HCD series provides the support, the thermal contact for temperature regulation, and the ability to easily manipulate the tissue in a biosafety cabinet.
Use for a variety of other applications including warm or cold incubations for cell harvesting or lysis, rapid agar solidification for growth independence, solutions or media incubations. CoolSink HCD is necessary when samples must be kept sterile and when cell viability is important during processing.
The locking recesses permit the user to manipulate both hands when processing tissue or cellular samples. Place on ice, dry ice or other cold or warm sources and CoolSink HCD will rapidly adapt to source temperature. Rubber feet allow for placement in a biosafety cabinet for stable manipulation, but are removable if placing on a ThermalTray™ for water bath incubations or when autoclaving.
Accommodates Corning brand 35mm, 60mm, 100mm and 150mm culture dishes. Autoclavable, high heat sterilizable and compatible with bleach, alcohol and common laboratory detergents.
