CoolRack CF series modules accomodate standard 12.5mm cryogenic tubes and FACS tubes. Choose from four different modules to suit your cooling, freezing and thawing requirements.



The CoolRack Concept

CoolRack eliminates "user technique" and inconsistencies inherent in inserting tubes directly into ice, dry ice, alcohol baths, water baths and other common temperature sources.  Place CoolRack module directly onto the temperature source and it will rapidly adapt to the source temperature -  from -196°C to +100°C.  CoolRack modules deliver temperature standardization of all tubes when cooling, (snap)freezing or thawing samples. Source temperatures could include:

  • ice
  • dry ice
  • liquid nitrogen
  • water bath
  • other common temperature sources
  •  

    Sample tubes will remain at the desired temperature through the thermo-conductive properties of the CoolRack alloy.  All sample tubes will be consistent temperature          (+/- 0.1°C with no "edge effect") and remain stable, secure, dry and organized.

CoolRack CF modules have straight-sided wells for cryogenic tubes and FACS tubes
CoolRack CFT module has a tapered well design to "grip" the bottom of cryogenic tubes, regardless of shape, and allow one-handed tube opening and closing.  Cryogenic tubes must be minimum 47mm height for use in CoolRack CFT module.
